VarroxSan

Mite control

$5.00

VarroxSan is a slowly released oxalic acid treatment used by beekeepers to control and maintain low numbers of Varroa mites in honey bee colonies. Composed of a specialized fiberboard matrix infused with oxalic acid dihydrate and glycerin, the strips provide a continuous, bee-safe treatment lasting between 42 and 56 days.

How VarroxSan Works

  • Active Ingredients: Oxalic acid dihydrate (18.42%) combined with glycerin on a resilient fiberboard strip.

  • Application Method: Fold and hang the strips directly between frames in the brood chamber so that the bees
physically contact and walk on them.

  • Dosage Guidelines: Generally, use one strip per 2.5 frames of bees, with a maximum of 4 strips per standard brood
         box.

Key Benefits

  • Extended Release: Provides a "set-it-and-forget-it" window of 6 to 8 weeks, targeting multiple brood cycles of the
         mite.

  • No Temperature Limits: Unlike vaporized or trickle applications of oxalic acid, VarroxSan is not temperature-
sensitive and can be used year-round.

  • Honey Supers On: It can be used while honey supers are in place during a honey flow in regions where registered,
leaving no detectable harmful residues in wax or honey when applied according to label directions.
